The Application Deadlines for the 2012 Summer Music Programs are as follows:

All dates are POSTMARK DATES.

All applicants seeking financial assistance must complete the following form. Please note: Only tuition scholarships and fellowships are available, and awards are limited. To download an application in one of the formats click on the icons below.

To apply, simply download the appropriate application forms, fill them out, and mail them to the indicated address (included on the application forms) along with the required materials listed below.

All FIRST-TIME applicants must submit the following with their applications:

  • Curriculum vitae, including musical background, formal education, and teachers.
  • A Passport size photo.
  • One letter of recommendation. (CONDUCTORS must send three letters of recommendation from professional musicians.)
  • $60 Application processing fee before March 1, 2012 ($85 for students outside the U.S., please send only an INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDER.)
  • $85 Application processing fee after March 1, 2012. ($105 for students outside the U.S., please send only an INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDER.)
  • A self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of your materials.
  • CHAMBER MUSICIANS must also submit a recording (CD) that includes two pieces that best represent your current level of performance. Label the recording clearly with your name, titles of pieces, and length of each selection.
  • COMPOSERS must also submit a one or two paragraph statement discussing the relevance of counterpoint for you in composition as well as a score to one representative piece and a recording.
  • CONDUCTORS must also indicate instrument(s) played and repertoire that represents your current level of playing, a list of repertoire you have conducted in performance (including date and location of the performance(s) and the name of the performing organization), a representative list of repertoire you have studied as a conductor, and a one-or-two paragraph statement summarizing your understanding of the conductor’s role and responsibilities. Conducting DVD optional, but encouraged.

All RETURNING applicants must submit the following with their applications:

  • An UPDATED Curriculum vitae, including musical background, formal education, and teachers.
  • $60 Application processing fee before March 1, 2012 ($85 for students outside the U.S., please send only an INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDER.)
  • $85 Application processing fee after March 1, 2012. ($105 for students outside the U.S., please send only an INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDER.)
  • A self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of your materials.
  • A one or two paragraph statement discussing the impact of the training you received at the EAMA Summer Program on your work since completing the program.
  • COMPOSERS must submit one work completed since attending the EAMA Summer Program. A CD recording of this work is optional, but encouraged.
  • CHAMBER MUSICIANS must submit a CD recording of one work performed since your completion of the EAMA Summer Program.
  • No new recommendation letters are required.

If you wish to apply for financial assistance you must also include a financial evaluation form with your application. Please note: Only tuition scholarships are available, and awards are limited.

We do not send paper applications. You must print the documents from the website and send them by mail with all the required materials.
